I can use some help repairing a BT-99. The cocking lever is struck in the up position and the firing pin is protruding out of the receiver. I am guessing either the hammer or the cocking lever is broken. If I remove the firing pin will this allow the mainspring assembly to be removed thus allowing the tang piece assembly removal? Also, can someone direct me to disassembly instructions for this gun?

    Thanks Bob

Removing the firing pin will not do a thing. To disassemble. First remove screws from tang part of trigger guard. Then remove stock, it has a through bolt accesed by removing the recoil pad. Once the stock is removed try to move the hammer to the rear, cocking it. If it is not cocked, a spring will fly when you disassemble it.
Then look about midway along the side of the receiver and locate the pin that goes through the receiver and the cocking lever. Punch out this pin. No you have to remove the bottom of the receiver. Take a brass or nylon punch at least 1/4 inch in diameter/ put the punch on the bottom plate of the receiver from the inside, in the area of the cocking piece, and tap gently downward. The bottom of the receiver will come out the bottom. If the hammer is not cocked the mainspeing and follower will fly out so be careful. The rear of the bottom plate fits into a recess. Assemble in reverse order,
The hammer must be cocked to reasssemble.

Thanks for the help. I now have a better understanding of the disassembly procedure.
