wondering if anyone has had success in replacing the stock recoil pad on a BT-99 with one of the better after market pads? I can't seem to find one unless I want to go the grind to fit route and that adds a bit since I have two guns to fit.

I couldn't find one and i tried a bunch. The grind to fit is not that difficult if you have a small belt sander its easy just a little time involved.

Shootlow----I'm no pro but also not incompetent. I've done 3 pads so far and i bet you'd have a hard time telling the difference between mine and your so called pro's. Now if you don't have that ability or confidence then you are exactly right, use a pro. Now i will agree that trap is expensive every way you look at it and if you can't afford to have a pad done(that is if you can't do a nice job yourself) then you are probably in the wrong sport. Don't ruin a nice gun with crappy work.-----Matt
