I have a BT-99 barrel that would make a good candidate for Briley screw in chokes. Barrel is .745” bore, and choke is .720” barrel has a little pitting on right side by breech on the blueing, I think a little hand rubbing and TLC could buff it off. Seitz style porting. It has a screw in choke in the barrel now, but it is recessed in the end and I don’t have a wrench to see if it will come loose or not, however using my gauge and finger, it seems like the choke does not sit flush with the bore in the barrel, there seems to be a good .125” space between the tube and bore. I would recommend getting this checked by a competent gunsmith before shooting. 150.00 or make an offer. More photo's here if needed.

If I may ask ... is that a bulge in the barrel in the choke tube section or some sort of special knurling?

It is bulged by what appears to be a hydraulic swager or sweller type of tooling that was used to make enough room for the tube…….

The buldge was somewhat common when some gunsmiths first started installing tubes in older guns. Ljutic did the same thing with some of the space guns. I had one. Or, maybe this one is just screwed up.

This looks interesting, but the problem I would have is that if it didn't fit right on my BT99 and I had to send it to someone for fitting, I would soon have more in it than I want.

    Any thoughts on that?
