The recoil system on a real nice BT-99 Plus I just got in doesn't work properly. It fail to re-set itself after firing making the system real spongy. It seems like the plunger fails to rebound properly. Anyone know of a good easy fix or someone out there who works on these things?

Remove the recoil system from the stock and make sure the threaded plug is still in place. This plug can work its way loose. Hope this helps.

Joe: Please let me know where I can get one of these. The last time I checked they were few and far between....and the ones I found were over $200.

    Do you have a source???

CAPTAIN is right. If you replace springs with flat top and bottom and adj right they are better than new

I took mine apart after 17 years and soaked it in Kano kroil. Loosened

up the screw a little and applied some grease. Works like new.
