I read that Browning lengthened the forcing cones in BT 99's starting in 2010. Is this change better than an an older model because of the forcing cones being lengthened ? I dont understand if its a negligible difference or something I should really consider in a buying decision - new or old ?

    Thanks

It reduces shot deformation and improves shot performance. HMB

You won't be able to tell the difference.

From everything I read and talking with a Browning customer service person the effect of a lengthened forcing cone will be imperceptable on patterning and recoil.

    Thanks

There you go. Buy older, and you will get better quality. They also look better, all in my opinion of course.

Ed Fulford did, however, know how to point the gun (even with his face not against the stock).
