I am getting ready to buy a new BT99, What barrel length shoots the best pattern. My dad shot a lot in the 70's and the 32" always shot better than 34" is that still true since the new guns have the invector chokes?

The barrel length has really nothing to do with the pattern. Shooting a 32" or a 34" is mainly a personal preference. Try to shoot a 32" and a 34" before buying. This might show you what feels the best to you. Also, many people prefer the 32" if they are smaller in stature or "getting along in years". (However, that's not always the case). The best bet is to try both lengths before you buy. Good Luck. Ed

Aa Ed mentioned, no real difference. However, resale value tends to be better on the 34" barrel.

32" or 34" is all in your head period. That said 34" is easier to sell . Bill

I would go with the 34" better resale value. ML

the 32 inch barrel is harder to sell than a 34 inch barrel. if you would ever want to trade it in through a dealer, you will get less. if you are the type of person who will keep a gun for the rest of your life, buy what ever seems more comfortable to shoot. if you plan to shoot handicap, buy the 34 inch barrel.

If they offered a 35"...I'd recomend that....BT-99's could use a bit more weight forward...
