Can a thumbhole stock on a BT 100 be easily replaced with a regular stock? Can you just change it out with a BT 100 straight stock? Are aftermarket replacement stocks available? Thanks, Jack

The simple answer is YES although it is not just as simple as a normal stock swap.

The BT100 Thumbhole gun is the exact same receiver as a regular stock BT100. The difference is how the two different stocks attach. The BT100 Thumbhole has an adapter on the back of the receiver so that the stock bolt goes up through the grip cap. The regular stock BT100 has its stock bolt like most shotguns behind the recoil pad. You can unscrew that adapter piece from the back of the receiver on Thumbhole stocked BT100's and then use a regular stock and bolt. You should be able to find a regular BT100 stock quite easily but make sure it comes with or you buy a regular stock bolt as well.

This pic below shows the adapter piece on the back of the receiver set up for a Thumbhole stock. That piece will simply unscrew and the regular stock bolt will screw in there.

    Yak,

Click above. Midwest Gunworks has brand new ones. Not cheap but they have 'em.
