Can the recoil operated trigger on an XT be changed to mechanical? A friend is shooting 7/8 oz for first shot on dubs and the trigger won't always reset for second shot.

I shot with a guy back in the 90's that had a Citori Trap thst had been converted to mechanical triggers by Al Timney. I think Timney has since passed away but there should plenty of gunsmiths around who could do the job. John

The parts of his inertia trigger may be a little sticky. It takes very little recoil to move the parts on a clean, properly lubricated Citori inertia trigger.

I should have mentioned in my earlier post that I also have a Citori Trap & have successfully shot 7/8 oz. thru it with an inertia trigger so Wireguy is probably right. John

Briley modified the sear return on my GTI so it would function with the 410 sub gauge tubes...this would be all you need

Yes, it can be converted. I just don't know who can do it. Try Doug Braker.
