Would it be safe to bore the forcing cones out for 31/2 inch shells?

The chambers aren't proofed for 3½" shells! You will also be ruining the pattern efficiency of the 2 3/4" shells the gun was designed to shoot according to Randy Wakeman.

Any O/U that shoots a 3 1/2" shell will kick the living shit out of you. So why shoot one?

pressures straight from SAAMI site
12 gauge 11,500 (except 3 1/2 in)
12 gauge 3 1/2 in.14,000

more pressure and you are going to cut metal out of the barrel area not good ideal

have you ever fired a 3 1/2 shell in a fixed breech gun?
