Browning thumbole stock

    Ok woodsmiths question of the day. Can a Browning Thumbhole stock be opened up for a lefthand shooter? Will there be enough support left in the stock.

    By the time you reversed the angle on that hole, it seems likely that the remaining wood would be a bit thin and harsh on the web of your left hand.

    A while back I posted a link to a new thumbhole stock on Gun Broker that sold for about $70. Too bad you didn't catch it -- that would have been a good chance to experiment.

    You could fill the existing hole with Bondo and redo it from the other side.
