Browning rates their choke tubes by the pattern percentages inside a 30" circle where every one else uses constriction. A Browning IM choke tube is 'rated' to have .020 to .022 constriction unlike their Fixed choke guns which have normal constriction.

Don't trust either. Take it to the patterning board and check POI and pattern, the only way to check a choke. I have seen same marked and contriction chokes shoot totally different on the board. Shoot them from a rest, take out the human movement. Marks and gauges are only a starting point.

I recently purchased a Browning XT Unsingle. The modified choke
was .018 and the improved modified was .019. I sent the improved
mod back to Browning and they sent me a Briley tube measuring
.024 It pays to have a barrel mic.
