IF THE PRICE IS RIGHT YOU CAN'T BEAT A BT99 BROWNING, MOST TRAP SHOOTERS CUT THEIR TETH ON THAT GUN.

Real nice guns...you might save a couple hundred bucks by just looking for a pristine 99 plus though

Doesn't even need to be pristine (BT-99 Plus). Takes a lickin and keeps on tickin. After a gazillion shells, update the springs and firing pin and shoot another bazillion shells.

Nobody bothered to read the subject of your post. The BT-99 with an adjustable
rib was a special production run for a distributor who's name escapes me.
One of our club members shoots one, and to the best of my knowledge he
hasn't had any problem with either the adjustable rib or the adjustable comb.
Of course, the BT-99 is a quality gun, and has been around for a long time.

You will be happy with the gun.

That gun's rib looks like a Browning BT-99 Plus gun made back in the early 90's to me. (in fact the whole gun does)

I wonder if they don't use Plus gun parts to assemble their verson...?

I owned a Citori Plus o/u that had that rib...always thought I'd get a BT-99 Plus. Maybe this is my second chance..

Thats basically it Stan..only real difference is the buttstock that lacks the Plus guns adjustable/recoil reducer.buttplate-recoil pad and the adjustable comb

    Hey Calvin..

Not having the Browning recoil stuff is a plus im my book...never cared for that on my old gun as much as I thought I would.

However this new one "does" have a adjustable comb...which was a good one on the old Plus guns.

I don't know about this one...the new XT's, and the like, adjustable combs leave a lot to be desired, cheezy as a matter of fact.

The Monte Carlo version might be the ticket too...for a little less $$.

Rod's Custom Stocks is right down the road from Sportsman's Den and for not much over $200 he'll put an adjustable comb on that BT-99AR that's way better than one from the Browning factory.
