My ejector broke in the middle of a round on the
unsingle barrel, not the spring, the head that lifts the empties out broke off. It's my understanding that they have to be fitted. My question is who can do this repair
on the west coast with a quick turnaround.
    thanks, Dave

They are not hard to fit. A nice file and a sharpening stone for a knife to polish it out is what I used. Took about 20 minutes as I remember. Just go slow and keep trying it. You can't put it back on after you file it off.

If I'm not wrong I believe the recess for the hull has to be cut in the blank and that takes a special reamer.

    Hello DB682,

I broke mine in the same place a couple of years ago, the ejector from
my double barrel was the same timing, this is a combo, same serial #'s

I ordered a new ejector from Beretta it had to be timed in order for the
barrel to close, I cut off some coils on the springs to weaken the pressure.
    Haven't broken any more since.

Hope everybody is having great 4th.

My 682 is also a matched set.
I did like hwy13 said, ejector from o/u barrel seems to work fine.
I will order one from beretta and try to do the fitting myself.

    Thanks everybody, Dave

You can buy the ejectors in the rough, with no headspace cutout, or you can buy them finished, w/ the cutout in the ejector for the shell already. Not too much more to buy the finished one.

with a bit of patience, & a dremmel tool, you can fit the rim recess if you don't have a rim cutter available. As was said above, SLOWLY, you can take it out but can't put it back.
