Anyone got any ideas on some inexpensive games to play (but worth it)? I'd like to spur up some gaming at our club but need to keep it on the cheaper side.
A different club I've shot at cost $54 + Calcutta money. This is too expensive at my local club. The one advantage we have is that target costs are very cheap.
Any ideas from all you experienced money shooters?
Why not shoot a 25 bird program, 10 16s and 15 what you break 23 yd minimum
you miss one 16 it's the 24 miss 2 and it's the 23 and that nis as close as you can get.
We charged $15.00 to shoot it and $10.00 went ino a purse or you could charge
$15.00 w/$7.00 for targets and $8.00 going into a purse usually split 50/30/20
not High Gun would pay 25s/24s/23s ties divide.
It's an economical fast shoot, I have seen clubs that allowed you to shoot as many times as you want, but I feel only once w/no practice.
First time is for the money 2nd time is practice @$7.00 per 25.
We shoot what we call a Lewis Class Fun Shoot - $20 bucks with $12 for the birds and $8 going into the pot.
We also have the "Blue Bird" - we place blue chalkline chalk in the top of the target and use clear packing tape to keep it in place. We put a blue bird in the stack of each singles squad and if you hit it you get $5..... Great big puff of blue smoke when you hit it and awful lonely feeling when you miss it
50 singles and 50 handicap 1 yard back from your regular ATA yardage. Depending on the number of entries you pay three places. High Gun - Mid Lewis and Low Lewis.
The winner shoots a yard back farther the next shoot and will not move forward the rest of the year. All Lewis Class Winners during the year shoot against each other at the December at the Lewis Class SHootout event to get their name on the plaque in the clubhouse.
Doesn't take a lot of time and we have skeet shooters and new shooters that want to experience the structure of shooting in a squad.....
We play Annies and Backers at our club for $3. Club keeps a dollar to pay for targets and $2 goes to the winner/winners. We sell a 10 play punchcard for $25. Club doesn't make much money on it, but people have fun. Mark
