I was looking thru my shells and found a box of 1 oz #7 steel. I was thinking of trying them on targets, Will I notice any difference in them and lead?

Not if you hit the target.

    HAHAHA what he said.

I have tried with the steel and see no real difference. Though I haven't patterned steel yet. This would really help out while out on a dove shoot or game.

Might want to be careful with your choke, most screw-in full chokes are not recommended for steel shot.

Here's some pellet energy data. #6 steel is like #7.5 in lead.

Shoot'em and don't think about what your shooting. If you load your own, you might notice a bit more recoil as the 1oz steel typically starts at @1300-1325 fps.

I was shooting some registered on Sunday with the guys and throw only 3/4oz at 1150fps... if I had done my job better, I would have hit more than 91... so using 33% more shot w/20% more velocity, they are more than capable of breaking birds...

If you want specific info, feel free to PM me...
