This will probably look like a dumb ass question from an Aussie however I do not have too many options except to ask!!! Breakfree CLP is not easy to obtain in Australia and there is only one importer. I recently purchased a box of aerosol cans(12 10oz cans). I find it very messy to use as the cans do not produce a fine
mist spray like most aerosol packs. I have shaken the cans well and even tried
spray nozzles off other cans. Same result - a solid stream of oil!!
I would just like to know if this is normal for this product or if somehow it has deteriorated in transit to Aus.

Barry, it's normal. You'll have to learn how to control the pressure on your trigger finger on the can.

Barry, you might have to go to a release can, available from many fine tinsmiths.

Spray the stuff onto a patch or a cotton swab and wipe it on.

I thought those super pressure cans were for the crowd thinking, "if a little bit is good, a whole bunch is better"??

A release by one of the better tinsmiths!! Priceless!! :) Hap

Thanks to all for the input! The only way you can buy this stuff over here is in aerosol spray cans or miniature 1 oz bottles that are useless, otherwise I would just use a trigger spray and fill it when required. I thought it may be the cold weather and I cannot see why Rem Oil atomises OK but Breakfree will not.
Maybe the Rem Oil is just as good anyway!!

RemOil is not 'just as good' as BreakFree for keeping autos working. But you guys don't shoot autos. Other uses RemOil may be just as good.

Problem solved! I carefully pierced and emptied the spray can's oil contents.
I found a small pump atomiser spray that I used for cleaning shooting glasses and
it works like a dream. Barry
