No. Dumbass contests won't solve the problems associated with the ATA.

I would not call having a shootoff for charity a "Dumbass contest".

Brad told me several times that he did NOT want the Grand back. He speaks for the whole upper Northeast evidently.

There Jerry........I fixed it! No reference to your original post, just to the post by RFGA2. And, by the way Joe will never be shooting against anyone, he's just wind.

Look for the beer tent if you're looking for Mr. Gibson, Matt. He's still hoping Devi gets the buns contest started again. 3 beers and he's in for sure.

Jerry, you know a lot of trap shooters don't even pay much attention to shoot-offs at medium size shoots? They'd rather play hearts or shoot the BS rather than watch grass grow?

"nameisjoe against me (Jerry B.) Make ours an all around event.. . in front of the grand stand. 25 - singles, 25 - 27yd handicap, 25 pair of doubles. All targets to be set to current ATA standards. Sell tickets.. place bets.. Winner gets to name the charity the money goes to."

    Jerry B.

Make a shoot-out interesting for everyone to watch if you want to generate any interest from a crowd or wagers? One where no one knows the outcome at the beginning, not a grass watching event?

    25 Singles, 44 degree and 60 yards.

    25 Handicaps, 46 degree and 60 yards.

25 pair of Doubles, 44 degree and 48 yards.

Such a format will make each competitor reach into his bag of tricks for a win and spectators and those wagering have no idea at all who might win! I'd like to shoot that format myself since I can only handle about a 100 shots total.
