Does any one have any first hand experience with Boyt takedown cases like the one I have pictured?

My concern is that the barrel sleeve will fit my 34 inch unsingle barrel and lays completely separate from my stock and receiver. I would also appreciate the complete dimensions of the case. Boyt does not have them listed. Thanks in advance.

I have one and quit using it because the brass zipper would sometimes scratch the bottom of the grip area of the stock...have to be very careful. Compact size is nice though.

I have one that I have been using for year to transport my 34" BT 99 and have had no issues at all with it. Woody

The Red Head case from bass pro is identical--I have 3 of them.

I have the Cabelas version, and as I remember it's longer than the Boyts.

The Cabela's, Bass Pro and Boyt versions of the case have slightly different internal and external dimensions. You may not be able to determine the fit from having the numerical dimensions. The hardest part to fit may be the stock and receiver because of the distance between the top of the comb vs the toe of the stock, and the angle of the wrist/pistol grip. Also the prices on the 3 are substantially different. Bob

You have a point? It appears the stock and receiver section on the Cabelas version may be too small for a trap stock with an adjustable comb and butt plate.

I have a Bass Pro near by. If they have the Red Head version in stock I may go check it out personally just to make sure it would fit. Phil above informed me his MX15 fits great in the Red Head version.

I don't mind spending the extra money on the Boyt I just want it to fit.
