Just bought a Ruger 77 mark 2 in .300 win mag. with 10 new boxes of factory grade ammo. The gun was only fired 6 times pd 600.00 bucks. Excellent shape probabaly 92 %. shot at the range today 3 in group at 200 yds. Pretty excited with it. beni

The 77's are pretty good guns. I have a MKII stainless in .270 that shoots very accurately with handloads, 3/4" @ 100. Not quite as well with factory stuff but still around 1-1/4" @ 100. VXII scoped.

My first Ruger was a gold medal over under that turned out to be junk and soured me on Ruger for years. Then I bought a 77, a 10/22, an air gun and next a Ruger underlever #1 and I love them all

I have 2 77s, 1 in 22-250 (bought in late 70s)& 1 in 243 (bought in '80). Both have been fnatastic guns. Never had any problem with either of them. The 243 has been carried through all kinds of nasty upstate NY weather for 20+ deer seasons without any issues. 22-250 has taken out countless woodchucks out to 400 yds. Great guns, especially for the $$$. Good luck!
