Bore Gauge Question ??????

    What does the small dial tell you on this bore gauge

    Every lap around the big dial is .100. This is just telling you how many laps around the dial it has been.

    A 12ga barrel will be .729-.750 normally. The small dial is just past the 7 and add what your large dial is reading.

    This is an instrument used by urologists to measure the distance from the puckering place to the prostate gland. The length inserted tells the doctor what he needs to know. The small dial indicates the cost per inch of insertion so the bill can be properly prepared.
