I've got a new 2011 Ford with the Sync system. My cell is paired with the Sync system but reboots and disconnects and a message shows up on my phone "FOR EMERGENCY USE ONLY" when trying to make a call. I have had exactly zero help from Ford or AT&T on this matter. The both contend that my cell is compatible with the Sync system.I have paired several phones to the system and it works fine but no dice with mine. I have Bluetooth 2.0+EDR S/W Version and Qualcom BT4025 HW Version. I can't help but think there is a setting that needs to be changed. Any help would be appreciated.

Ford is reprograming the Sync system. If you have not had that done yet, you will need to have it done. Not all Ford dealers have the new progran yet.

I have a 2012 Ford Edge AWD with Sync.
It sounds like the computer in the Sync is seeing your phone as a
emergency call only cell phone. If you are running Android OS
on your phone try setting it back to "default".
Because you can pair Sync to other phones leads me to believe
it's in your phone settings somewhere. Don't think its Ford at
all. It's just doing what it see's.
