I have an old .410 bolt action, the barrel needs blued again, what is the best way to do this? I want to do it with my 9 year old son.

Get a small bottle of instant blue. A couple 0000 steel wool pads. A bottle of rubbing alcohol.
    1. Get rid of any rust on the barrel using one of the steel wool pads.
    2. Degrease the barrel using a clean rag soaked in the alcohol.
    3. When dry apply the instant blue using a clean 0000 steel wool pad.
    4. Repeat step #3 until desired color is achieved.
    5. Let dry and oil barrel surface. HMB
