This is a total shame. The Giants are getting a heros ticker tape parade for winning the Super Bowl. The returning Iraq Veterans were snubbed by Bloomberg and told not going to have a parade. GGGEEEZZZ, wake up, these are the people who put their life on the line to preserve our freedom and liberty and no parade? Yet a sports team gets the hero treatment??

Does this resonate with others as an outrage??? I know it's an outrage for me to see our Vets treated with such distain and disrespect.

Shows you where his priorities lie. NYC folks ought to be real proud of him.

Don't try to blame the lack of a vets parade on the Mayor. Who would you blame if the Patriots had won? Don't you think there would be a parade for them in their hometown? It's a tradition for hometowns to have a parade for Superbowl/World Series winners.

Sorry mixer, but returning Vets were usually honored with a parade in NY City first then in their Home Town's where they(vets)were born or raised.

Bloomberg is to blame for not having one!

But then you could say, they aren't returning as Victor's because they were pulled out before the job was done!! CIC's fault there! So there is no Victory Parade needed!

St.Louis, MO had a parade for the returning Irag War Veterns. Every damn city should have!!!! In fact, there should have been a National Holiday with parades and Welcome Home parties throughout the Country.

I suggest that everyone here that slams Bloomberg read a little more on the subject. The Pentagon and just about all Veteran Groups have requested that a parade, such as a ticker tape in NYC, not be held until the Afghanistan war is over. Many reasons including a whole lot of Iraqi vets now serving tours in that country. I agree. Let's honor all of them.

Unfortunately Bloomberg had made the decision not to honor the Vets with a parade prior to the military brasses decision and press release that it wasn't prudent to celebrate just yet due to the ongoing Afgahnistan operation. The time frame of those decisions managed to save Bloomberg a little explaining.

He's still not to be trusted.

Bloomberg has a libe3eral political agendaa and always has. While he has not been a bad Mayor I would be frightened if he should run for a higher office. He has the personal fortune to outspend almost anyone with political aspirations.

The good news is that he could not beat Cuomo for Governor nor Schumer for Senate so he might be cooked unless he ran in another state. Don't put that past him. Remember he had NYC's constitution changed so he could run for a third term!
