What's the story on the Blaser trap O/U? I see them advertised pretty heavily in the sporting clays magazines, but very little in the trap magazines. Looking for a good, solid & reliable doubles gun with a slightly elevated rib.

Blaser has not pushed their trap gun because they have a redesigned gun due out soon. The new CEO of Blaser USA is Norbert Hausman who was Krieghoffs Key technology officer. He will soon have a new product on the market that will be vastly better then the current offering.

So the people who bought a Blaser a year or two ago thinking they were getting a greal deal (about $5K?) on a super gun ended up getting not such a good deal on a gun that will soon be outdated???

That's why I'm hesitant to buy new guns the first few years out. They are always promoted as being the best thing since sliced bread, but usually the early buyers are just guinea pigs who put up their money to test out a new product.

Lets give them some credit. They found some issues and now they are dealing with them. It would seem that's positive. It is still a great gun for the price point it is at. When you spend way less then half the cost of a Krieghoff you can't expect a Krieghoff.
