    I just bought some Winchester 209 primers, @ $34/1000.

The safety bulletin in the box said that Muzzleloading Primers should not be used for shotgun shells. I've never seen Muzzleloading Primers, are they larger and/or hotter than standard 209 primes?

    Just curious.

reason for "muzzleloader primer":"Experiments with milder primers have revealed that a reduction in heat/pressure/strength tends to greatly reduce the fouling ring problem. And now we have several variations of No. 209 primers which have, supposedly, been engineered specifically for use in modern No. 209 primer ignited in-line muzzleloading rifles."
