The girls and I had to get an extra early start to get the club ready this morning. I don't mind shoveling snow but when it freezes with ice on the trap pads, thats a real mess. Also, our #1 trap was having a problem breaking targets and the door knob to the freezer room broke.....one of those days. The trap doctor Ted Wallace got #1 up and running again, Thanks Ted. With the snow and ice turn out was lighter than normal. We had 4 events and the winners are:

Event 1 Curt Jones 49x50 (Curt had to share because George beat him out of the hat on his 24) Lucky Loser Andrew on trap 2

Event 2 Dave Jackson tied Reid with 48x50 Lucky Loser Ralph B. on trap 1

Event 3 Charlie Adams 50x50 (only 50 of the day) Lucky Loser Al Eckman trap 1

Event 4 Bob Pierce tied Jim Roland with 47x50 (Bob won out of the hat)

Our top prize winner of the day (again) was Jim Roland with 4.

I want to thank Curt for bringing Tom G. from Norway out to shoot. I see Tom did leave a winner with his 20 in Event #2. Thanks again to Ted, Hank, Dillon, and Ray for their help today. One thing I learned early on, you can't do it all by yourself.

Our next Big Meat Shoot will be on Sunday Dec. 20th. Also, there will not be a green bird shoot on Thur. nite Dec 24th. For some reason nobody wanted to work on Christmas eve.

Calvin, We need you Sat at Quarryville for the Pen-Mar. Run a 50 straight and maybe I'll rethink the lap thing.

Ray talked to Gary the Meat Manager at Dutch Way and they came up with a ham we are going to try as a Big Meat Prize. We will have a few for the Dec 20th shoot and we will get more for the New Years Day Shoot.

    Curt..

Bring your band of cutthroats out and Ray and I will bring the hams. Of course you still have to toe the line and break some clays.

While I am a union member (UAW) this is a non-union operation. Also a non-paying operation.

On another note: If the weather lets us we will be open for practice on Thursday Christmas Eve. 4pm till 6:30pm with limited kitchen service.

Why can't bad weather come during the work week instead of the weekend?
