I was a devout 'bowling pin shooter. Early to the range, helped set up the course, completely involved. A couple of other shooters tried trap and came back 3 weeks later to get me to try it. They said" Try it you'll like it". Reluctantly I gave in. Thet set the 'trap' (in more than one way)in one position so I would hit more birds. I was hooked. The next day I went out and bought a BT pigeon. Miss that gun. They were right I liked it. Nothing like immediate gradification. Mike.
Two:
Senior Smoke's tip: "purchase D.Lee Braun's book on trapshooting"--The book really helped me many years ago. After I had the book and read it at the next shoot a friend said "wow! you are sure shooting better". I told him about the book and he jokingly said "you better throw the book away"--I think he said that because I was shooting better than he was!
And second, from an older friend: "you have to shoot at a lot of targets".
Have fun, but remember to focus on the front part of the target...
