I attended the ACD fall meet in Auburn, Ind. some years back. There was a guy making fresh with a hit & miss engine turning his freezer. Fresh peach if I recall. Pretty good.

One other was when I lived in Lanc. Pa. in the early 70s. It was out of town a ways. Cant remember which direction but was very good. Some of you Lancaster Co. boys can probably trigger my memory.

I used to date a girl that liked any kind of ice cream as long as it didn't have any chips or fruit or added pieces of anything in it.

She said it was too hard to wash them off.

Carvel's soft vanalla cone dipped in thier hot chocolate. It dries to a nice hard coating in a few seconds. It helps keep the ice cream from melting down the cone until you get down there. Its Great. Jeff

Best Ice Cream in the whole wide world comes out of Babcock Hall on the University of Wisconsin Madison campus. The Ag students learn how there and they use a very high butter fat cream. Its the hands down winner, although I have never been fortunate enough to eat it side by side with the Ag students from Penn State ice cream. They make pretty good stuff too, but I'm biased toward the UW delights. bob finger

The BEST ice cream was when I was growing up on a dairy. We would shut down the bulk tank and let the cream rise to the top and ......ooohhh it was almost a food group by itself. Raw milk and cream made it the best.

My second favorite is Van and BonBon from Anderson Erickson Dairy in Des Moines, IA. It was vanilla with 7 different favors of bonbons. Never knew which you were going to have in the next bite. Good, but would sure like to find a local dairy.....oh, memories. <sigh>
