I load the green 4 petal. XL-1. Like it. Load 15.8 gr. of 700X in an STS or Nitro case with 8's or 8.5's,Remington primers. Hope this helps=== Steve

I've only used the 8 pedal XL Jammer over 17.5 gr. of Claydot or Clays. 1 oz. of 8 or 8 1/2's, I find these to be great 16 yd loads.

Actually, there is another Downrange 1 oz wad you can use. It's the new Orange XXL made specifically for large straight-wall hulls like Federals, Cheddite, etc. They don't work well in A-A or STS hulls due to their flared powder cup, unless you really jam them in.

The 8 petal only is a problem in some progressive loaders because the petals don't always come out of the bag flared out.You should not see any problem using a single stage loader because you will hand feed the wad on the guide!!There is no noticable differance in the patterns!PJ

The new DRA1 pink clone of the Winchester is what I prefer. It is a little shorter and crimps better for my loads.
