It'll never sell in Oregon. Beer and pop cans have a five cent deposit. If you crush the can the redemption machine cannot read the bar code, making them worthless.

I made a can crusher from wood when I was in scouts. It was for tin cans, but you had to open both lids with a can opener first.

It does appear to be well crafted. Perhaps some type of solid mount would make it more user friendly. Probably a half dozen shops in the neighborhood, including my own, have pneumatic crushers. Pretty simply to make out of an old cylinder and som scrap steel.

It won't sell in NY either as we have a nickel deposit on most cans, bottles, etc. About 40+ years ago a guy came to our Gun Club with a hand-held catapult he made for beer cans. At that time, cans were made of tin and were heavier than today. That thing would throw cans 50 feet or more in the air and it was a lot of fun shooting at them. I heard he sold the patents to a clay target company. Larry

It's going to take a lot of cans to pay for that piece of engineering.

Many years ago, a neighbor behind my business started collecting aluminum cans with his two girls.

As they would get a large bag full, he would go into the alley beside his garage, and smash them with his foot.

About 10-12 bags, and he had to have surgery on his foot.
