I saw one of these at a Local gun store, It had a 28" vent rib with choke tubes, It appeared to be an older gun but In good shape. The guy wanted $700 for it. Are these guns worth that? and are they any good? Does ST stand for super target? Thanks

I bought a used one in wood with 28" vent rib with 3 choke tubes for $350.00 in 90 PCT. condition. It had one scratch on the stock and bluing was like new. I have several new ones for $599.00 but Walmart had some for even less. Jackie B.

I doubt that a used 390 with a 28" barrel is worth more than about $450-500. On the other hand they are great guns. I have an adjustable rib, moneymaker 30" barrel for sale if you buy it and want to make it a trap gun.

"ST" is an obsolete designation that was used on the 390 series of semi-auto shotguns. It is an abbreviation of the Italian "Spara Tutto", which translates to "Shoots All" types of ammunition (from heavy to light loads )

My 390 ST says "Super Trap" on the trigger guard. Check that out. Meant it came with an adjustable stock, plus other features. Retail back then was $1,200.

Early series some of the earlier 390's were designated 390AL because the end cap and some other parts were aluminum. People complained that they were too light, and the aftermarket companies introduced steel parts to make them heavier. Beretta, not wanting to miss the boat too much, introduced the 390ST, which had some steel parts to make it heavier. The only one I remember off the top of my head was the end cap, which increased the weight about 6 ozs. I think there was some differences in the trigger group.

What is the difference between the Beretta A390ST and the AL390ST?
