Noticed that the Connecting Rod on my Berreta 303 is cracked through at the back of the rod on one side. Need a source to purchase a new one and would like to know if the part can be welded effectively to repair my broken connecting rod.

If you have someone good nwith a welder it can be welded and then ground down so it is smooth inside and out. It will work very well and will not break at the weld. I have seen a couple that have been welded and they work great. It is worth a try for someone that is a good welder.
