This 1100 shooter was mentioned in a thread. Was he pretty good w/an 1100? Any exceptional 1100 users out there now?

Bernie was a very tough competitor with his 1100s. He finally sold them and now shoots a combo gun.

Also, Daro Handy is a fair shot also with his!!

Lou, I recall a portion of what Leo H. said during an interview with a T&F reporter asking about any gun modifications to their trap guns. He said; "I have this flag sticker on the stock." I never knew that Leo shot a higher rib than what came with the Rem. 1100s?

I don't remember L every shooting high ribs either.

Bernie Waner was a very proficient shotgun pointer. Led the ATA one year in handicap averages from the 27. I believe mid 70's. He also shot a Broadway at times. But he and his 1100's with Baker barrels became the standardtill he decided a combo was inorder. It didn't work out as well as another. Then he just
gave it up and shoots rifle now punching holes in paper.

Didn't Frank Little shoot a 1100 for a number of years?

Frank Little shot a TMX at singles and a DB81 at doubles in his later years in the sport.

    Hit 'em hard,

    John
