Does anyone have any experience modifying or repairing a stock with the new Beretta finish? Just wondering if it is any better or worse than the old finish if getting an after-market adjustable comb cut or with fixing dings and scratches.

I was under the impression that "Xtra-grain" was a new finish different from "X-tra Wood". Are they the same thing?

Xtra-grain is not a finish. It is a process they have at the factory that is in the wood. You can cut, steam or do whatever you want to it.
