Please help. A friend bought a Beretta Silver Pigeon Sporting 12 ga. Says it has some type of stock-(Not comb)-adjuster that you work with a tool. Access is through a hole on the underside of the pistol grip.

    What could this be?

    Thanks

That sounds like a stock from an early SV-10. There is a folding cap on the underside of the pistol grip that you push in with the allen wrench. This allows the stock to be easily removed for service.

I just purchased a Beretta 687 Silver PigeonIII and You can remove the stock through a hole in the center of the recoil pad. This is a quick easy way to change stocks without removing the recoil pad.
