Can anybody tell me about the Beretta SB Trap Special. It's 32 inch fixed full choke, release lever is in front of the trigger guard, beaver-tail forend. 85 to 90% condition. I can get it for $200.00. There is one on GB starting bid at $299. Thanks for any info,

    Wayne

I think the Beretta Mark II was their answer to the BT99. It was well built
not sure about SB trap special but it's priced well @ $200

I own a Mark II and shoot it regularly. It's built like a tank. But, it is not the same as the SB Trap Special. The Trap Specials I've seen tend to be pretty well worn out. The Mark II will take a couple of lifetimes to wear out.

Here's a picture of the Mark II for comparison.

I believe he's referring to a TR, not the Mark 11. It was made like the Companion series. About $250 to $300 is what they sell around here. They are really light and the ones I have shot kick pretty bad.

The trap specials are entry level guns that kick pretty hard.
The mark 2's are a tank of a gun that everyone seems to be able to shoot well.

Lost out on a gun broker auction a year ago and still kicking myself.
