    More important question: why?

You obviously don't shoot registered targets with it.

LOL! I just got back from Los Chanares in Cordoba, Argentina, and I guarantee the last thing you want on your gun is a safety ..........automatic or otherwise!!!!

If you can't manage a safety manually, you probably shouldn't own a gun...just saying

No offense intended Tim...just consider that modifying your gun in that manner will destroy resale unless you pay to reverse the mod back to original..any other clay target shooter will avoid it like the plague unless you're willing to give it away

Not offended at all on my end. Am enjoying everyones opinions. Just not getting any answers. Will contact Coles for the answer. Thank you Mr. Campbell. Should have done that in the first place instead of stirring folks up. Definitely not my intention as I really appreciate the folks on this board.

Converting most guns from manual to automatic safety is usually just a matter of adding or removing a part or two. And the modification is generally completely reversible. So no damage done to the firearm. Appears this may not be the case with the Gold E.

Will delete my posts. Sorry to cause conflict.

A recent thread about removing the automatic safety on B guns has the info you want.

The channel for the safety actuating rod may or may not be in the receiver. Also the threaded hole for the flat piece that holds the rod in place.

Take off the stock and have a look.

    Thank you Halfmile.

John on Shotgunworld helped me out. Th channel for the safety rod was completely hidden by the hammer blocking safety. Tore the gun down and removed the hammer blocking safety. From there it was a no brainier. 10 minutes later, a done deal. And completely reversible.

    Appreciate your input.
