Has anybody put in the metal insert on a beretta semi auto? I just bought a wood set off ebay and didn't realize it does not have the insert. Pretty dumb on my part. Anybody have a flange laying around they want to sell or know of someone that sells them. Its a beretta 20 gauge 390.

be careful when you stake the rivet. beretta uses some type of a special tool to support one side and then peen the other side. It might break the woos if you are not careful

As the motordoctor mentioned, you need to be careful to not put any pressure on the wood. What I use is a large ball bearing that is about 3/4" in diameter and another smaller bearing that is about 3/8" in diameter that I welded to a punch. Place the head of the rivet on the larger bearing and tap the top of the rivet with the punch until it's seated. DO NOT use excessive hammer force! Just tap it.

I would remove my own appendix before I would try what Tron is showing you.
