I have a Beretta AL391 Urika 2 Parallel Target in 12 gauge. My wife has the shooting bug right now and she needs about 12 1/2" LOP, give or take. Regardless, the factory stock is too long.

I am slightly confused on what fits what with these Beretta's.

Do I understand correctly that Beretta does not make a youth model stock for the 391 in 12 gauge and that Beretta only makes a 391 youth stock in 20 gauge?

I have had one fellow tell me that a 3091 reduced length stock will fit a 391?

    Is this true?

So assuming Beretta does not sell a R/L stock and assuming the 3091 does not fit, what are my options other than cutting the factory wood? I really don't want to do that!

The reduced length or RL is the shorter of the two parallel stocks. I don't
know the exact length, but also there are two Beretta pads that come with the
gun, a one inch and I think about 3/4", so you should be able to get it
pretty short. You could also get a field barrel in 26" and you'd have
a pretty light and short gun.

I am dealing with a similar issue. I just bought a spare stock which I will cut down for the new shooter. Leaves me with the original if I want to use it sometime later.

Beretta's RL stock with a pad puts the LOP right around 13.5". Not sure about the ability to put a 3901 stock on a 391 though. The stock on a 3901 does appear to be about an inch shorter than the 391 RL.

Look down in the For Sale section there's a short sporter 391 stock for sale
for $59. With the shims you can get that to shoot as high as the parallel
stock, and it probably will fit just as well.

I have the 391 Youth 20ga and a 391 12ga. parallel the I had shortened for my son. I believe the youth 20ga stock will fit the 12ga and it is shorter than an RL. The big diference I see is that the pistol grip is moved forward for the smaller hands and the recoil pad is smaller than the standard 5" pad for the smaller kids size pockets. If this is the way you wanted to go, I'd double check with Coles to be sure the stocks interchange.
