The hinge pins on my 687 easily turn. I don't remember being able to turn them before. Is there a way to tighten them?

There is a hex socket accessible from the inside of the receiver.

    4mm if memory serves.

Inside receiver 4 MM allen wrench, suggest you remove pin clean use blue locktite and replace and tighten. If barrel was loose before hinge pin came loose, switch hinge pins from side to side and it will take up any slack you might have had.

JJM, I like the idea of switching for wear. Good advice, Thanks, Bob

Thanks Michael and Joe. I don't know why it loosened, but they are tight again.
