Trying to change stocks and the stock bolt in the old stock will not come out. The head looks to be past the aluminum funnel and won't come back out through it. Any ideas without damaging the old stock. I got the old stock off of the receiver but don't have a stock bolt for the new stock

The aluminum funnel is a tight fit in the stock hole. Use a punch and drive the stock bolt from the receiver end, it will push the funnel out of the stock hole. The funnel is used on competition models, that way you can just insert the stock removal tool thru the pad and as you back the bolt out, the stock comes with it. On field models there is no aluminum funnel. Be careful that the stock bolt is not too long on your new stock. If it is, as you tighten the bolt it will press against the trigger mechanism and could break it.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks Anthony12ga, success. That sucker is not going back in. The pad will just have to come off from now on to remove the stock.
