1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

I am trying to sell a 682X Combo that one of our high school athletes bought and it does not fit him well. There is a "add a rib" attached to the top single now to get the gun to shoot 70/30. There is an adjustable comb that was installed by Dave Berlet. The top single is 34" and the O/U is 32" both with mobil chokes. I would estimate gun to be 90-95%. Bluing is very nice with no shiny areas. Asking $2500.00 or best offer.

What is the age of the Beratta? Any history of use?
    Thanks, Dan E.

Truckee Trap, I do not know the age of the gun but it has not been shot a lot. If you look at the 2nd to last photo the lever is still to the right of center. You will not be disappointed with this gun.

Wow indeed! I came real close to buying the gun for my wife at his asking price mostly because of the 32" O/U barrels.

And, of course, his claim that "You will not be disappointed with this gun." I assumed that, because of his position as a coach, that it would be a straightforward deal.

Of all the things that I thought might go wrong on a deal here, the length of the barrels was not one that I considered.

It sounds like he just make a mistake, but, kind of a big one and not returning calls is pretty bad.

Glad I hesitated and lost out to you, though it looks like a nice gun.

Other than the missing 2 inches, is the rest of the gun as described?

Looks like the lever is only slightly right of center. Seller should know the age of this Beretta by the letters on the barrel and determining it on-line. Heck, give me the 2 letters and I can determine year of manufacture in under 2 minutes on-line -----

He says the barrel is 32" and it's actually a 30" ....Yes that is a very big issue..He should refund your money, you did not get what you paid for....

Unfortunately, two inches makes a big difference in the price of a gun with barrels, both single, and O/U.

Beretta shotguns usually have barrel length stamped on the left side of the barrel for anyone to see.

He said in his original post that it wasn't his gun, and when he says the money has been spent, I assume the boy that got the money was the one who spent it.

Since Mr. McDermott didn't get the money, how is he supposed to refund it?
Since you knew it wasn't his gun, did you have an understanding that the
condition of the gun was his responsiblity, and not the actual owner?

This is the problem with being a middle man & trying to do somebody a favor you get yourself in a lose lose situation.

Actually, if you check the seller's posts, it seems he purchased a Browning just as soon as he got the money from this unhappy buyer.

He did not deliver what he claimed he had for sale. Probably a mistake, but he should have made it right.

And not responding to the buyer, inexcusable.
