OK Fellas ,I just bought a New extended Full Choke for my 391 Optima .In
measuring it to my barrel my Bore reader Mic says ,my barrel is a.728 dia
14" down ,all the way up to about an inch from the bottom of the choke ,changing to .738 .Then there is a lttle lip jumping up to .741 dia.
then for 3/4" it goes to .718 out the end of the choke .SO , what do I have ?
Do I have a Full Choke , as ordered ? The constriction ,I thought was to be
    a .035 differance ?

Shoot it, count the holes, and then you come back and tell us what it really is.

What is stamped on the choke or barrel is inconsequential...the patterns it produces are definitive.

SM3 is right. Measurements will give you only the way things are supposed to be. Gotta pattern

I'm guessing that you may have a mis-marked tube.

My Optima tubes all mic within +/-.001" of what is listed on the berettausa link above. The three Beretta branded full tubes I have are .693-.694 at muzzle.

Thanks Guys , I have found the problem by patterning this choke .I also ,
purchased a New set of Beretta Optima Extended Chokes .The choke that I was
concerned about ,does measure-out at .018 and has a White identification Band
around the top ,so I went out and pattern it .It throws a Mod Choke pattern
( basicly 55 to 60 percent ). The New Choke set measures right-on ,giving me
somewhat the paterns you would expect from each constriction .
This White Banded (Marked Full Choke )had me stumped .Thanks for your replies !

You never know ,until you pattern it .

All of my extended Optima chokes, with the exception of Euro Skeet, throw patterns one constriction tighter than they are marked. And coming out of my DT, they are the most consistent and beautifully distributed patterns I've ever seen pretty much across the board without regard for ammunition used.

    I think they're magic.
