I have a beretta 391 urika sporting gold mobile choke gun. It's fairly early vintage (90s) 30 inch trap barrel. I shoot singles with the gun . 1 1/8 3 dram loads. About every 4th or 5th shell, when I press the closer , the bolt won't close. I have to jiggle the operating lever forward and back a couple of times and then THE bolt releases and closes. The next few shells it works fine then it happens again. HELP

Check to see if the magazine cut off (on left side of the receiver) is popping open. Fairly common on older high milage guns.

remove it or lock it in place with red loctite.

Usually, replacing the indent spring will fix. Sometimes, if the indent wore a groove at the stops, you may need to deepen the channels with a dremel tool. Or, you can do as Phil suggested.
