1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

Many people ask me about how difficult it is to install this release hook. Here is a picture of the trigger assembly. You would replace the "sear" with the release hook.Remove the hammer bushing with c clip and the hammer falls out with the two braces. Remove the trigger pin and the hammer come out. Remove the trigger bushing and the sear come out. Reverse the order for reassembly. Should take about 10 minutes $65.00 delivered to you. Drop in installation. 391 needs slight fitting at the sear to match your existing sear which can be done with a file. Motordoc

I bought one of these and they work great. Easy to install and the operation is very smooth. Well worth the price.

Motordoctor, How hard, how much fitting is required to install one of these in a 391? Can a average person install one or does it really need to be done by a gunsmith?

About forgot, do you still have them?

    Thanks.......Don

relative easy. remove your original seal and put it against the part that I sell. you WILL NEED to slightly reshape the tail on the new part to march the old part. relatively easy with a grinder. On a 303/390 it is a drop in installation with no modification. And yes I still sell the part.

Motordoctor, Please advise if this hook will work in a 302 also. Most of the 300 series Beretta stuff interchanges. Also where to send the Money Order If I decide to purchase some. JOE WHITEHURST

Do these release hooks fit in a 20 gauge Beretta 390? I don't have a 20 gauge Beretta auto, but I might buy one if these release hooks will fit without too much effort.

    Thanks,

    Easystreet

i believe that in the 390 they are both the same part. if you send me a picture of your sear I can match it with the one that I have. Joe

    Joe,

I don't have a 20 gauge 390 yet. I don't plan to buy one unless or until I can be sure that I can convert it to release trigger without too much additional expense. That's why I was asking if your replacement part will work in a 20 gauge. Thanks.

    Easystreet,

I have a 20 Ga 301 that I put one of these hooks in with a little fitting...end result works very well and cannot pull through.

    That's my experience.

Stupid question: why do I need these releases on my 391s (both 12 and 20ga)?

    Thanks from a newbie

they are designed for the shooter that has a flinch and has trouble pulling the trigger. It is a crutch so they can continue to shoot. They are not for everyone and you need to become used to its operation. do not switch if you are a neewbe. Great question. thanks motordoc
