Any personal experiences (good or bad) with this recoil operated Beretta? Thanks. John

I had one years ago. A 1200. I bought it on an impulse to shoot trap. Wrong, a hard kicking hunting gun that is likely very durable.

The Beretta 1200 series was not built to be a trap gun. It is a field gun, it was the predecessor to the Benelli. Great guns for the field and built like a tank with very few breakable parts. Trigger is very simple and easy to clean. The bolt is made very heavy duty. It makes a great turkey gun also. It can hold 2 in the magazine, 1 in the carrier and 1 in the barrel. I have several as they are hard to find.
