The new year is just starting for most of us. What goals have you set for yourself ???? I for one would like to shoot a registered 200 straight...

It is amazing how our goals change. I was just reflecting on this with another shooter the other day...

Remember when "If I could only shoot a 25 straight" or "cant wait to get that 50" than 100 etc. now you pro guys pushing the 300's.

My hat is off to you guys! I feel I have maxed out with a boat load of 49's even to the point of missing that last target! So my goal is to continue to have fun with my fellow shooters and just maybe get a good score as a biproduct. :)

Well, Bob...you'll appreciate this one, I hope.

I'm the president of the Alaska State Association. I have ONE goal for the year, and that's to run a good state shoot. With nice trophies, good food and good times, events that run smoothly and few crises.

I don't care if it rains everyday...I can't control that.

Beyond that...if I could manage to shoot good, well, lets just say I picked out a couple of trophies that I'D LIKE TO WIN.

Beyond even that: If I could manage to quit jumping at the singles targets, which is costing me 3 birds per hundred, I think the rest would take care of itself.

    Ok. I thought some more.

would 100 straight from handicap, having played all the money, be too much to ask for?

My goal is to get my son through his first year of college. So far he's doing his part. I'm doing mine by sacrificing most of my trap shooting (and other things) for tuition.

I remember bob...I hope you can come up next year! I'll probably be running it then too - I think it was a three year sentence they handed down the day they elected me.

I remember the vague, distant sound of train whistles, and some tracks. Maybe some rope. And the torches...god, it was terrible. Then I was president.

My goal is to meet both Mr President Neil Winston and Mr Pat Ireland at the same shoot and shoot handicap doubles on the same squad from the 27yd line with both of them as well.

Other than that little goal I would just like to survive in these troubling and expensive times of our shooting sports.
