Or you may find out what you got is gone.

I had trapshooting, then I didn’t. Physical limitations brought on by age and wear and tear has pretty well curtailed my shooting career. This can happen to anybody, at anytime, for one reason or another.

So, that shoot you were going to pass up this weekend. . . DON’T!

    recurvyarcher,

Squishy and slimy, tough and crumbly??? LOL!

Actually, there is a sweet little girl that lives next door who comes up with my sign-on names. She hasn't done too well in the past because the others have been deleted. I may be living on borrowed time.

Hey BB ... I know how you feel!

I have a 35 year old mind that writes checks that my 75 year old body can't cash!

Seeing as how I have had more repairs and replacement parts than a '53 Buick ... I am happy to just get out there and shoot! Winning scores don't happen like they used to ... but being a "Has been" sure beats being a "Never was"!

Remember ... a bad day shooting is still better that sitting at home feeling miserable!

You're right Ahab. Shooting good or not so good, I've enjoyed every minute of of my trapshooting life. Of course, the people I've known and shot with added greatly to that enjoyment.

Booger, what exactly is preventing you from shooting? Perhaps the ts.com brain trust can help.

    Exactly!!

    There is no do-over.

I have decided to take more time off work this year. I am lucky that I have a job that allows that; and boss who wants to save the salary I forfeit.

As a result, I will go to the Southern Grand this year and shoot with a bunch of friends. Sure beats the crap weather we have in MI.

Live long and prosper. But smell the roses on the way by.

"being a "Has been" sure beats being a "Never was""

    Truer words were n'er spoke.

That's what I've based my life on, and I have no regrets. Except maybe not starting sooner. Maybe.

    Hey Booger!

Do you find that a lot of people "PICK" on you? (hehehehe)

Find another shooting sport to fill your life with fun. I've re-taken up airgunning, and having a ball with it!

Booger you hit it straight up and head on. Lots of the other posters have said the same thing but what you have is something we all will loose one day and absolutely getting old is not for sissys. A guy has to be about half tough to get older than hell and there isn't a one of us who wouldn't have taken better care if we would have ever thought we'd have gotten this old.:) Dan
