Why all the concern. They never made it across the border. Is this idiot saying that the Democrats should be saving the Mexican people from being massacred, in Mexico, to get votes. WTF is his point. He is saying that the Democrats are just letting the border run free to get votes! How stupid, is stupid. Maybe we should have spent the money on our own borders security, instead of going into Iraq and spending trillions of dollars so that certain individuals companies, (Cheney) and cronies could make lots of money. Hmmm. I remember George trying to speak spanish to get the Mexican vote.

5300 unattended children! Letting them cross the border. What? Show documentation. Who let them cross? How the hell do they keep a count.

So you are saying lets complete the wall so the children can't get over the wall, or what? Why not just shoot holes in the rafts, and watch them kick around like rats in a bucket of water. Allot cheaper. 47,500 people where killed on the border. Probably 47,000 of them drowned, the others where shot because they did not return with the money.

Tell me what concerns Washington is supossed to have? The terrorists are already in this country, and they definitely will not bother trying to swim into this country, or raft amongst the Mexicans and the most heavily patrolled border. You can't be serious.

I really hate to say this but it is OUR fault. Americans keep buying and using drugs and these scum will do anything to supply them. Our "war on drugs" has been a failure for decades and we have done nothing to replace it with something that works. There is simply too much money in the drug enforcement business. Too many people are getting rich "combatting" drugs - Lawyers, judges, re-hab centers, etc. I can't believe that I am saying this but maybe we should legalize the stuff. Perhaps it is worth a try since doing the same old thing isn't workling at all. The point is that anyone who smokes "pot" has the blood of these people and thousands of others on their hands.

Sorry, it was late and I was being a little sarcastic.

The harsh reality of this whole border war is the money involved. It is not only the drug money the cartels are in control of, it is the human trafficing that is just as big of business. These people are giving up their life savings to be "Guided" across the border and are either dying in the process, or being turned back. They do not get a refund. The same cartels are making the money.

Even if drugs are legalized, who do you think is still going to be our main supplier? So the drug wars will still be going on in Mexico to see who gets the most volume. The human trafficing will still be going on. It probably would intensify, only because the money would still be easier, and has to be paid up front. That is guaranteed money. Some lives would be saved, because the forced use of people to take the drugs over the border would drop. There is no easy, and cheap fix. That is for sure.

Not to be conspiracy theory type of person, but does anyone think that our government (democrats and republicans) really wants to do anything about the drugs. It would eliminate too many government jobs. Mexico and the other Central and South American governments don't want to stop it, even though their lip service says they want to. If the U.S. and countries south of the border wanted to put a hurt on the cartels and drug production, how hard would be to fly drones and bomb drug fields and facilities, and send in the military. Its all BS and its not only the drug cartels that are feeding and getting fat off of their product.

I agree with birdogs. The simple answer is to remove the demand for the product. What's so hard about not doing drugs? If you can't remove the demand for it, make it legal and get the government involved. That's sure to take the profit out of it.
