I would seriously consider Briley Eccentric Choke tubes. They worked very well for me in three applications, particularly my pigeon gun for box flyers from Barnaby traps.

They need your barrels so they can a.) modify for screw in chokes, then, b.) ream the eccentricity (in your case "x" inches down, and c.) give you the choke constrictions you need to open to your requirements

I would NOT recomment adjustments on your barrel, particularly if an O/U.

Tom Wilkerson in North Carolina, Kerry Allor in Mich. both have web sites. Allor does not do choke tubes, Wilkerson does. They are the best in the country.

Kerry Allor - his speciality is barrels and that's why they call him the "Barrelmeister."

Click the above link and he does talk to folks. One of the nicest and smartest guys out there with barrels. Not sure why no one above mentioned his name.

Kerry Allor does do choke tubes. He just doesn't sell his own brand. I'm very happy with the work he did on my barrels. He delivered exactly what he said he would, exactly when he said he would. I've owned barrels worked on by other barrel smiths, some mentioned in this thread. Allor did the best job.

Ditto on Whiz and ZZT as he has done 3 of mine. As good as Wilkinson is, he wouldn't do my barrels - said there wasn't enough metal.

This could turn into a can of worms - maybe best to sell the gun and start over or just retire it.

I've had Briley do off-set chokes for me but it's a pain and expensive but it does work.

Shooting High: are your beads aligned one behind the other or is there rib between beads.

One behind the other is best, spce between you need to lower the comb.

Shooting too tight send gun to Tom Wilkenson 919-603-0167 or to
    Kerry Allor 810-326-3943

Both are the best Bbl Doctors.
